Carissa Johnson

Carrissa first fell in love with the mission of CILs in 2006 when she joined CAL . She interned there while attending Murray State University’s social work program and courses for a certification in nonprofit management. She also completed a Masters in social work at Western Kentucky University in 2012.

Carrissa is now the Satellite Office Manager for CAL’s Murray office. In 2017. She received NCIL’s region four Advocacy Award for work on” Accessible Murray.” She is a proud member of the Kentucky Coalition for the Rights of Parents with Disabilities (CRPD), Kentucky Assistive Technology Loan Corporation board member, Kentucky Arts for All board member, Avocado Press board member, and works on local committees in Murray.

She is a proud mother to her son Will and wife to her husband Ben. She enjoys traveling, crafting, and graphic design.
