Meet Grace Jeter, Chairperson of the Kentucky SILC! From her early days growing up with her sister, Ava, who has Down syndrome, Grace’s life has been fueled by a deep passion for supporting individuals with disabilities. She joined the SILC as a council member in November 2019 and, since April 2023, has proudly served as Chair.
Grace brings extensive experience across nonprofit leadership, economics, state government, and universal design. She now serves as the Executive Director of reSOARces, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through Participant Directed Services and community-based supports. In this role, she works daily to expand opportunities for independence, strengthen direct support networks, and advocate for systems that respect choice and dignity.
Grace is excited for this new chapter in the SILC’s history with its nonprofit status and for all that lies ahead. This milestone means the SILC will have even more tools and flexibility to advance its mission of empowering Kentuckians with disabilities to live independently and inclusively.
