Tessa Wilkerson is a dedicated mental health provider for McLean County Public Schools, originally hailing from McLean County, Kentucky. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Kentucky University. Tessa brings valuable personal experience to her role, as she has muscular dystrophy and is passionate about navigating Independent Living (IL) for herself and others.
Previously, Tessa worked as an Employment Specialist at Independence Place, where she assisted individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals. A proud dog mom, she deeply values her family and friends. In her leisure time, Tessa enjoys reading, listening to Taylor Swift, and watching High School Musical.
Tessa is excited and grateful to serve on the board of directors, where she is eager to contribute her expertise and passion for disability advocacy.
